Recently, the ASTM International F24 committee held its first semi-annual meeting in New Orleans. Over 250 experts from around the world discussed standardization updates on various topics affecting the amusement industry.
Risk Assessment is a hot topic where currently an entirely new standard is being drafted. ADVANTIS CEO Philipp Geering is the co-chairman of the task group responsible for this new standard practice on how to conduct an industry-specific risk assessment.
The first part of the new draft language has now been shared with a group of experts to get some valuable feedback. The goal is to have this new standard practice ready for balloting by the end of 2020.
