We would like to keep you in the loop on what is going on with the development of the new soon-to-be-released standard on Risk Assessment.
A task group with nearly 100 members has been involved in the development of this new standard practice. The task group is structured into a so-called main task group (7 members), a contributor group (approx. 20 members), and a listeners group (approx. 70 members). The draft language of the new standard was sent out for ballot last fall in the F24.20 sub-committee. The feedback from that ballot as well as contributor feedback was incorporated in the past few months by the main task group. Currently, the draft is out for one last feedback round by the contributors before being deployed for the main committee ballot later this summer. Depending on the number of negative votes, the process can take up to another year before the standard is actually published. We will keep you informed as a valuable member of our community.
