ASTM F24 Update

Recently the task group responsible for the new ASTM standard on Risk Assessment has been very busy finalizing the content for an initial balloting process. All the contributors have provided their feedback and the main task group has incorporated this feedback into the latest draft. The next step is the release of the draft into the official ASTM balloting process.

At ASTM all voting members get to cast their vote as part of the online balloting process and every single negative vote needs to be addressed by the responsible task group. With Risk Assessment affecting almost every one of the 1100 ASTM members to some degree, a good amount of controversial discussions in the coming weeks and months is expected. The goal for the main task group is to ballot the current draft language before the upcoming fall meeting in New Orleans (13.-16. October), where a meeting is scheduled to discuss the latest content. Visit ASTM.org for more information and to get engaged.
