Introducing Design Module

By the end of this month (September 2021), we’re excited to release the next phase of the Risk Assessment Process called the Design Module.

After completing the Analysis Phase, you can start the Design Phase seamlessly by creating a Safety Function Design for each predefined SRS (Safety Requirement Specification).

Safety Function Design

Safety Function Design is the core component of the Design Phase. It consists of Hardware and Software Block Diagrams and detailed descriptions of each device/block in the diagram.

The best part is that the app generates the Diagrams automatically so you can focus on your most important work. In addition, the app is already packed with the latest device specifications from manufacturers via the integration with VDMA.

In the Design Phase, you can get started by choosing a predefined SRS to create a Safety Function Design.

Hardware Risk Reduction Subsystems

A new Safety Function Design comes up with three default subsystems: Input, Logic Solver, and Output Subsystem.

The following figure is an Input Subsystem. As you define the devices and the connections between devices, the diagram is generated automatically in real time.

Software Risk Reduction

Similarly, as you define the Software Block Descriptions and the connections between the Blocks, the Software Block Diagram is generated automatically in real time.

Design Verification Report

Once you finish creating all Safety Function Designs, you can easily click a button to generate the Design Verification Report.

In addition to Safety Function Design, the device specifications from manufacturers are also available in the Appendix of the report for your reference.

We’re excited about these new updates and we look forward to hearing your feedback!
