Release the Transferred Risk feature

We’re pleased to announce to our users that the new “Transferred Risk” feature has officially been released.

That’s the feature we introduced in a previous post: https://advantis.tech/transferred-risk/

Steps to share risk with another company:

Step 1: Make a project connection

To transfer any kind of risk between two entities as a first step a connection between the two projects needs to be established. This is a one-time process done by members of the appropriate access level (Project Admin or Company Admin).

To make a connection:

  1. Choose Project Settings on the left navigation
  2. Choose Project Connections  ➜  The Project Connections page will appear
  3. Click the New Connection button

4. A dialog box will appear for you to input information:
➜  Type in the Email of the person to who you want to transfer the risk
➜  Can Read Solutions: if checked, the transferred person will see all solutions in the transferred case.

5. Click on the Send Request button

To Accept a connection request

1. After sending a connection request, an invitation is sent to the receiver via email
2. Click the invitation link in the email the Accept Project Connection page will appear
3. Select Company and Project. Then click on the Accept button.

Step 2: To Transfer a risk

  1. Go to the Case Details page

Note: Previously provided solutions will be lost after checking on “Provided by others”
  3. Click the Select connected project button

4. A dialog box will appear for you to input information:
➜  Select Project

Step 3: Submit the solution

Once transferred, the case will be available in the linked project under the Linked Cases group.

To submit a solution for a particular linked case:

  1. Click a linked case under the Linked Cases group
  2. Locate the Solution under the linked Risk Reduction Measure section
  3. Type solution
  4. Click the Save Solution button
  5. The solution will be saved for the linked case and also available in the original project.

In the case of a Controls Risk Reduction Measure, in addition to the solution text, you can create the Safety Function Design for the associated SRS of the Risk Reduction Measure.

We’re excited about this release and look forward to receiving your feedback.
