Status update on new ASTM Risk Assessment Standard

A complete draft of the new ASTM F24 standard on Risk Assessment for Amusement Attractions has been released for task group review mid of October 2020. The task group members provided valuable feedback which is currently being incorporated into the draft paper. Initial balloting (voting) on the new standard language is expected to take place in Q1 of 2021.

This new standard will go beyond current Risk Assessment requirements specified in EN13814-1:2019 and ISO17842-1:2015. The standard has clear performance requirements around an easy-to-the-following process which is in line with Types A Risk Assessment standards such as ISO12100 and ANSI B11.0.

When released, this new standard will be of great benefit to all the stakeholders in the industry providing a comprehensive and scalable set of requirements based on a common vocabulary. Be assured that ADVANTIS is in full compliance with this new standard.
